Christmas week

It is true that polar opposites can live happily ever after.  Mike and I have once again conquered our differences.  Christmas has a bit more joy this year.  As I said in an earlier blog, we had to compromise about gift giving.  We satisfied my desire to give presents and his preference that we just spend time together, while at the same time satisfied our kids desire for both!  These pictures are proof.

The week was spent painting and decorating in Tori and Dustin’s hallway then taking them shopping for shelves for their office/photo studio.  Anyone who has ever bought from Ikea know there is always quality time spent assembling the purchases.

The rest of the week was spent with Andrew and Morgan finishing the mosaic tile dining room floor.  (I had fun doing my little section. It was like putting together a puzzle.)  We then took them shopping to get their table and chairs.  Though, sadly,  we did miss out on the assembling stage of this project.

Everyone is happy!  We spend most of the week with the kids, we buy them needed things for their homes, they get projects finished and all is beautiful for Christmas.  I love it when a plan comes together.

I pray each of you are enjoying your loved ones and delighting in this season of celebration.

Next week Mike and I will be knee deep in snow while visiting our families in WV.  I will write again in 2011.  His love to you!
